A LOVE STORY (WITH A CAMERA).

It all started with a love for portraiture, nurtured in a darkroom that I built in my parents’ basement. That freedom - the kind that comes from youthful, earnest exploration - developed into a calling. A classical education in photography, split between the New England School of Photography and the Art Institute of Boston, layered technique on intuition and curiosity. It was the only path.

Experience shapes the eye.
Empathy shapes the work.

I’ve learned a few things over the course of the last sixteen years as a professional photographer. First, a fine arts degree is fantastic for understanding the craft, but being a pro at distracting your future MIL or keeping a timeline on track is what makes a wedding day run smoothly. It’s that sense of balance that creates the comfort and freedom, allowing you to unwind in front of the camera. Second, the most powerful images are often the ones you didn’t see happen - a truth I learned when I saw a photo of my brother-in-law tearing up at my own wedding.

My approach is built on these ideas of presence and practicality. Freedom and joy. Where the day is guided by empathy and shaped by the story unfolding in front of the lens. Where you don’t need to perform or pose - just be present. Be you.

Planning a wedding involves a thousand decisions. My promise is to make this one feel seamless and certain. To be your steady guide, supportive friend, and experienced partner. Someone to capture the beautiful moments so you can focus on living them.

If that sounds right to you, I’d love to learn more about your plans.
